What Do We Do?

The Forum supports the Churches' representatives on the various authorities and discusses the issues raised, feeding this into governmental groups and agencies from local to national. It endeavours to ensure that the agendas of these organisations include and respect Christian values , the quality of life and the views of those who would otherwise not have a voice at that level.

The following are some of the polices on which we have commented

Regeneration Programmes including community, economic and social welfare developments designed to assist deprived or declining communities and areas and especially Transport, Housing and Social Inclusion, Health, Environment and Culture including cohesions issues.

IRS Integrated Regional Strategy the radical. unifying work of the Assembly which brought together Social, Environmental, Economic and Spatial (planning) policy
RPG Regional Spatial Strategy (Planning Guidance), the statutory planning framework for the Region developed by the Local Government Association and the Government Office for the East Midlands prior to the 2010 reforms.
